When it comes to where to stay in Nottingham when visiting this beautiful city, you have a number of choices available to you. There is everything from top of the range luxurious hotels through to the more affordable family run hotels or B&B’s (bed and breakfast accommodation).

But what you pay for your accommodation whilst staying in Nottingham will depend on just where you stay and at what time of year you visit the city. Certainly if you are intending to visit at the height of the season (summer) and book yourself in to a city centre hotel, expect to pay considerably more than you would for accommodation that is located on its outskirts.

However, if your budget is somewhat limited then there are plenty of choices for you also. One such place that is worth considering especially if visiting in the summer is The Holme Pierrepoint Camping and Caravan Site, which is located at Nottingham’s National Watersports Centre and is to the south east side of the city.

But if you would prefer a few little comforts but cannot afford hotel then why not consider the Igloo Tourist Hostel. Located close to the bus station in Nottingham it provides you with easy access to the centre of the city without the costs. But also established in this part of the city there are quite a few inexpensive and therefore affordable B&B’s as well as some hotels.

If you are however coming to the area by car then why not consider booking into accommodation that is a little further outside the city. Places like Retford, which are only a short drive from Nottingham offer good quality accommodation at a much more reasonable price. Plus much of the accommodation offers you the chance to have views that look over Nottingham Forest.

It is vital that if you are going to be visiting Nottingham at any point in the future you arrange accommodation well in advance of your vacation dates. Unfortunately, this area is extremely popular as many like to visit the area where Robin Hood lived and made sure that the poor were well cared for.

Certainly when it comes to arranging accommodation and you are looking to stay close to some of the city’s more popular attractions, then booking several months in advance is advisable. Unfortunately, if you do not you may well be disappointed.

Although you may want to visit Nottingham during the summer when the weather is likely to be at its most kindest. You should not forget about booking to visit during the earlier or latter part of the year as well. However, if you do then bring a good supply of warm clothing with you.

As mentioned previously when it comes to where to stay in Nottingham you are not restricted on the type of accommodation available. What will restrict you is more likely just how much you are willing to spend on it. But there are plenty of places to stay in Nottingham so you’re sure to find something in your budget.
